Greater Sacramento Area 4th of July events to celebrate our nation

The 4th of July holiday is a commemoration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the United States of America and our birth as a nation.  It also means barbeques, and family fun, and parades, and fireworks! SAFE has put together a list of awesome events in the Greater Sacramento region for you and your family to enjoy!


Sacramento

Sacramento Independence Day Celebration at Cal Expo

When: July 4, Doors open at 5 p.m., fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Where: Cal Expo, Miller Lite Grandstand at 1600 Exposition Blvd. in Sacramento.
Price: General admission is free. Reserved seating tickets available for $10 until all are sold. Parking is $10/car.

15th Annual Arden Arcade Spirit of Freedom Parade — Enjoy the parade traveling along Fulton Avenue and Cottage Way, then enjoy festivities and free food at Howe Park afterwards.

When: July 4, Parade begins at 10 a.m.
Where: Parade begins at Lisbon Elementary School, continues along Windbridge Drive to Garcia Bend Park. More activities will happen after the parade in Garcia Bend Park.

Royer Park Activities — Stay for fun and festivities at Royer Park following the Independence Day parade for carnival games, live music and food.

Folsom

Folsom Pro Rodeo — With wild rodeo action, live music and fireworks in the arena, the Folsom Pro Rodeo is sure to be a fun night of Fourth of July celebrations.

When: July 2, 3, 4. Gates open at 6 p.m., colorful Grand Entry begins at 7:30 p.m., fireworks go up between 9:30 and 9:45 p.m. Mike's Golden Spike Saloon gets going from 10 p.m. to midnight.
Where: Dan Russell Rodeo Arena

Folsom Firecracker Run — Join us for our 9th Annual Folsom Firecracker. It is a great event to kick off our Independence Day.
