In the spirit of Spring and new seasons, I’m excited to introduce SAFE’s latest community campaign: For Fresh Starts, a personal care items donation drive for The Gathering Inn. The nonprofit helps the most vulnerable in Placer County with services that welcome new beginnings and transform lives.
From March 20 through April 27, SAFE will gather select personal care items to benefit The Gathering Inn. We will have collection boxes in three locations:
- The new Granite Bay branch, 4100 Douglas Blvd., Granite Bay
- The West Roseville branch, 1541 Blue Oaks Blvd., Roseville
- SAFE Corporate Office, 2295 Iron Point Road, Folsom.
For those who would like to participate, please bring the following new and unopened personal care items to any of our drop-off locations:
- Deodorant
- Body wash
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Razors (3-blade disposable)
- Sunscreen
- Lip balm
The Gathering Inn’s purpose to provide shelter and services to those experiencing homelessness in Placer County and the Greater Sacramento region resonates with us at SAFE. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, we embrace the practice of people helping people by providing our resources and skills to benefit community organizations like The Gathering Inn.
I invite you to learn more about The Gathering Inn on their website and see the many ways SAFE is building a more resilient Sacramento on safecu.org.
