Falling behind on your bills? SAFE is here to help.

The pandemic has turned our lives upside down. For some, the pandemic introduced the stress of working full-time from home while juggling young children. For others, the pandemic means working fewer hours or not working at all.

If you are looking at a pile of bills and your income is not what it used to be, your first instinct may be to stuff those bills in a drawer, delete those email reminders, and focus on other things. It’s likely you have so much on your mind right now that you just can’t add one more thing.

That’s when SAFE may be able to help. We recognize that asking for help may not come easily, especially if you’ve never been in this position before. Where you are now is not where you’re going to be in the future. But where you are now is where SAFE wants to be involved.

If you’re a SAFE Credit Union member, you have a caring and compassionate team ready to assist you and help you get through this. We just need you to connect with us.

When to contact SAFE

If you think you’re going to miss a payment on your SAFE loan or credit card, please contact us before your due date so we can start the process of helping you. Let’s talk about solutions that will work for you. You may be able to take advantage of SAFE’s Skip-A-Pay program and partial payment option. There are more details about these and other programs at safecu.org/assistance.

If you’ve already missed a payment, it’s even more important for you to contact us as soon as possible at 916-971-2585 or 1-800-733-7233, extension 2585. Together, we can start working on a plan that will help you protect your credit and your relationship with SAFE.

We’re your credit union, and we are genuinely concerned for your financial well-being.

So please, if you are having trouble paying your SAFE bills, reach out to us today; there are ways we can help. You can call us at (800) SEE-SAFE, chat with us through the SAFE mobile app, or visit safecu.org/assistance. We look forward to connecting with you soon.
