Get Ready for a Smarter Phone Banking Experience with SAFE

We love being only a phone call away when you need to reach us! Our Contact Center team is happy to help with your questions, and we’re pleased to offer phone banking services that help you complete your banking needs over the phone.

We’re excited to share that SAFE is launching a new phone banking system on December 11. The new system will help you get your questions answered more quickly, conduct phone banking transactions faster and more securely, and provide opportunities to have consultative meaningful and impactful conversations with our expert team members.

What’s New

When you call SAFE’s Contact Center, you’ll be greeted by Olive, our new automated voice assistant. (Insider fun fact: We chose the name in honor of SAFE’s very first joint member!).

Just tell Olive in a few specific words what you are calling about, and she’ll get you the information you need, assist you with phone banking services or connect you with a Contact Center team member. If you wish to speak toa live agent, you may request to do so at any time during the call and our Contact Center team will assist you during regular business hours.

More Secure Access to Phone Banking Services

The new system provides a more secure method of accessing your accounts through phone banking. The good news is that you will no longer need to remember a PIN!

To access your accounts through the new phone banking system, you will be asked to input your Social Security number. The system will send you a one-time code through SMS text to the cell phone number on file with the account. Input that code to access your SAFE accounts.

To ensure seamless access, be sure to check the cell phone number associated with your account and confirm that it is up to date. If you don’t have a cell phone number tied to your account y et, now’s a good time to do so. You can add a cell phone number through Online Banking, the SAFE Mobile App, by visiting a branch, or calling the Contact Center.

Phone Banking Services

Members will have access to the following options:

  • Check account balances
  • Review account history
  • Transfer funds between SAFE accounts
  • Make a payment on a SAFE loan
