Get ready for an innovative banking experience at SAFE’s new branch in Granite Bay, now open in the Sierra Oaks Plaza Center, anchored by Nugget Markets at Douglas and Sierra College boulevards.
This latest branch marks SAFE’s ongoing and deep commitment to providing quality, personal service in the Greater Sacramento region and introduces a truly member-centered way of banking at SAFE.
We thoughtfully designed the branch to put our members’ needs and schedules first in mind, inviting them to bank at their pace.
The large, light-filled space fosters conversation and connection. Instead of standing in traditional teller lines to complete transactions, members may comfortably sit and hold impactful conversations with SAFE experts on their banking needs and plan for what’s next in their financial journey.
Because SAFE offers a wealth of services beyond what’s available directly in person at the branch, we provide private and secure video access to other SAFE experts, such as lending, mortgage, business banking, and SAFE Financial Services team members.
For those who need to complete their banking on a tighter schedule, there are self-service options such as ATMs for deposits and withdrawals, and a charging bar for easy access to digital banking services.
The branch also includes a significant first for SAFE: a public community room wired for effective meetings and gatherings. We call it the Financial Freedom Hub, and there the public can attend free SAFE financial education workshops to learn effective ways to manage their personal finances and build financial freedom. The Financial Freedom Hub will also be available to local organizations and business groups by reservation for them to meet and connect.

Meet the Branch Manager
Experienced SAFE branch leader Marcus Webb will serve as the branch manager for the new Granite Bay branch. Marcus began his SAFE career at the original Granite Bay location, where he quickly established himself as a standout leader dedicated to exceptional service, strong teams, and meaningful member relationships. Most recently, he has led the Land Park branch as Branch Manager, continuing to deepen his impact and demonstrate his commitment to SAFE’s mission, values, and member‑first culture.
In addition to his branch leadership, Marcus plays an active role in fostering community and belonging within the organization. He serves in a leadership role with SAFE employee resource group B@S — Black at SAFE — where he helps advance engagement, inclusion, and support for employees across the credit union.
Outside of work, Marcus is a lifelong SAFE member and a proud husband and father of three. He and his family enjoy the outdoors and share their home with a lively mix of pets—including chickens, dogs, and cats.
Grand Opening
We invite our members and the entire community to come see the new branch at our Grand Opening Celebration!
The Grand Opening Celebration will start at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20 at the branch. Visitors can take tours of the branch and the Financial Freedom Hub, meet the branch manager and SAFE leaders, and take home fun giveaways.
