SAFE Credit Union Celebrates Healthcare and Public Employees
SAFE Credit Union is committed to supporting our community partners through our Workplace Financial Wellness program that brings financial wellness and other services to Sacramento region employers. That’s why we focus on community impact initiatives that uplift employees during events such as Hospital Appreciation Week, Public Service Appreciation Week and School Employee Appreciation Week.
Hospital Appreciation Week
SAFE Credit Union has had the privilege of engaging with hospital staff at Mercy Methodist (South Sacramento), Mercy General (Downtown Sacramento), Mercy San Juan (Carmichael) and Mercy Folsom. To showcase our appreciation to our healthcare personnel, SAFE provides complimentary coffee via the Eden Coffee mobile cart.
“Hospital Appreciation Week gives us the opportunity to celebrate professionals that care for the community every day of the year,” said Relationship Manager Alex Becerra. “We have longstanding partnerships with Dignity Health and Mercy Hospitals and look forward to achieving future joint successes with our healthcare partners.”

Public Service Appreciation Week
SAFE Credit Union is grateful to the public employees throughout the greater Sacramento Region, especially our dedicated partners from Caltrans, CalPERS, California Department of Public Health, the City of Citrus Heights, City of Rancho Cordova, City of West Sacramento, CNRA, Department of Financial Planning and Innovation, and Department of Social Services. Public Service Appreciation Week honors those who serve at the local, county, state and federal level.
“This week allows us to recognize and thank the dedicated government employees for the work they do every day to improve our communities. SAFE is committed to reaching out and supporting our public service partners.” says Karen Shahhosseini, a SAFE Credit Union Relationship Manager.

"I absolutely love working with SAFE! SAFE is uniquely available and so willing to support our efforts in employee financial wellness. Without SAFE’s monthly webinars, tips and offers to provide customized presentations to staff, we would not be able to support our workforce in financial matters at such a high level. SAFE takes care of our needs whenever we have a special request, and they are always willing to work with us during challenging times. We highly value our partnership." - Sally Skidgel, EAP and Wellness Coordinator from Caltrans

School Employee Appreciation Week
School Employee Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate teachers and other school personnel. These individuals work tirelessly to inspire and educate the next generation. Employees from SAFE Credit Union are committed to our partnerships with Cordova High School, Mesa Verde High School and Rio Linda High School.
Our team gave cookies to education staff across the greater Sacramento Region from the St. Johns Red Door Desserts program, a local organization that helps women facing housing insecurity gain work skills.
“SAFE would like to extend its appreciation to everyone who works to educate the next generation. The work they do to inspire and educate students positively affects communities and children for the rest of their lives. We are grateful for our continued collaborations and joint workshops with our education community partners.”
