California Craft Beer Summit – The Summit Expo is organized around the main ingredients in beer, offering hands-on ingredient experiences, food and beer pairing demos, tasting stations, “Tap Talks” with brewing legends and more!

Seventh Annual Tomato Taste Off – Come learn about and taste the many varieties of heirloom tomatoes grown here in California! You will taste and vote on your favorite tomatoes in four categories: most beautiful, juiciest, sweetest, and best tasting. Chef demos will include tomato inspired recipes for you to taste and learn about. And, you could win prizes and bragging rights and enter the Best Tasting Salsa Contest. Use any ingredients to prepare as long as tomatoes are in it. Fun games and crafts for kids.

Whiskers and Wine – presented by TEAM (Teaching Everyone Animals Matter), in support of animals at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter. The event will include dinner, drinks, dessert, live and silent auctions, and a fun time for all. All event proceeds will benefit the shelter animals.

25th Anniversary Big Crush Harvest Festival – BIG CRUSH is a grand time to see the harvest in action and this year is no exception. Scenes of teeming vineyards, trudging tractors, and bustling crush pads are accompanied by incomparable Amador wine region hospitality! Creative food and wine pairings, a variety of live music, and harvest activities are presented by warm and friendly family wineries.

30th Annual Hoes Down Festival – This all day celebration of the harvest season offers a unique opportunity to enjoy rural life on an organic family farm, with educational tours, workshops, hayrides, and an abundance of food and music. Fun for all ages with arts, crafts, workshops, farmers market and more. Voted “Best in the Nation” by National Geographic magazine.

Oktoberfest – On Oct. 13 and 14, Sacramento Turn Verein will hold its 50th Annual Oktoberfest at Turner Hall, a celebration patterned after the world famous Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. The largest folk festival in the world has been a Bavarian tradition for 200 years. Many Sacramentans have come to anticipate the Turn Verein’s Oktoberfest because they know they can enjoy traditional German music, food and drink.

Nov. 18
Best of Sacramento Party – This annual party celebrates the Best of Sacramento in categories including dining, entertainment, sports, and fitness, shopping, beauty, fun, media, and philanthropy. Guests enjoy unlimited samples of around 150 of the area’s top restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Live music and dance performances are also scheduled. All proceeds from the party will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
