Best holiday craft fairs in the Greater Sacramento area

The holiday decorations are coming out, and with the holidays comes holiday shopping. Want to support local Sacramento area vendors, shop owners, artisans, and craftspeople while you check off the boxes on your gift list? Take your pick from these winter bazaars, craft fairs, and gifting events. And have a holly jolly holiday shopping season! 


Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Shows

  • Nov. 16, 2018 –Nov. 18, 2018
  • California State Fair

This traveling expo is jam-packed with creative vendors, non-stop live entertainment, a kids zone and a food drive. Look for Mama Claus and Eddie the Elf while watching out for Stilt Santa. The Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show is one of the premier art showcases in the area for up-and-coming artists, priding itself on enabling younger, smaller, galleries to take part. Cost is $9 for general admission, $7 for military personnel and seniors 62 and older, and $4 for kids 13-17. Kids under 12 get in free. Parking at Cal Expo is $10.



Crocker Holiday Artisan Market

Forget the malls and big-box stores on Black Friday and instead consider heading to the Crocker Holiday Artisan Market at the Scottish Rite Center. Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts made by more than 100 artists – many who will be on-hand to share about their artistic vision. You’ll find works made of glass, wood, textiles and ceramics, as well as jewelry, photographs and paintings. The three-day event includes photos with Santa, balloon tying, face painting and live music. Admission is $5 for Crocker Museum and Creative Arts League Members; $6 for students and seniors 65 and older; $7 general admission; and free for kids up to age 12.



Ben Ali Shrine Ladies Holiday Craft Bazaar

It’s back to the Scottish Rite Center for the free 50th Annual Ben Ali Shrine Ladies Holiday Craft Bazaar. Shop for arts, crafts, holiday decorations, gift baskets, homemade jams, and so much more. Fresh sandwiches, soups and chili will be available for sale, and there will be photos with Santa and crafts for kids as well! Proceeds from the bazaar benefit the Ben Ali Transportation Fund, that pays for patients’ transportation to the hospital.



51st Annual Arts and Crafts Fair

Stroll through historic downtown Folsom and enjoy four blocks of hand-crafted gifts. Nearly 200 artisans participate in this juried craft fair. Great food, too!



Colonial Heights Creative Craft Fest

The Colonial Heights Neighborhood's annual Creative Craft Festival is back for its fourth year, and will again be held in the historic Wesley Community Hall on 15th Avenue. Explore the creative talents of area neighbors, including everything from succulents, greeting cards and stepping stones, to jewelry, pottery, baked goods, and much, much more.
