Best places for free concerts in the Sacramento area

Sacramento – Concerts in the Park

Ceaser Chavez Park – 9th and J Streets, Sacramento

Starting May 4th and every Friday until July 27th, enjoy concerts in the park! Between 5pm-9pm, the free concert bands include Middle Class Rut, The Crystal Method, Rituals of Mine, and much, much more! Come check it out.

Roseville – Concerts at Vernon Town Square

311 Vernon Street, Roseville

Enjoy the small town feeling in old town Roseville with free concerts at Vernon Street Square. Every third Saturday from June until September, you can rock to the sounds of tribute bands to Tom Petty and Journey to name a few. Rancho Cordova – Friday Night Concerts

With bands such as Cherry Bomb, When Doves Cry, and Apple Z, Friday evenings in Rancho Cordova are sure to help you cool off! With the events held at the beautiful Village Green Park amphitheater, there isn’t a bad seat in the house and since it’s free – this is a win – win!

Folsom – Summer Concerts in the Park

Concerts in Folsom are held every Friday from June until the end of July. This is a great way to get family and friends together and enjoy some food truck fare, while relaxing after a long week. The bands include Have Mercy, Innersoul Band, and Simple Creation, to name a few.

Summer Concert Series at Palladio

240 Palladio Pkwy., Folsom

With an exciting lineup of bands every Wednesday night from now until the end of August, the Summer Concert Series at Palladio offers wild concerts and food for sale (even a beer garden) in the middle of an excellent shopping area. Exciting acts from Hip Service, which is described as a Dance Party Extravaganza to Swift Country, a Taylor Swift Tribute Band, can get you movin’ and groovin’ in style!

El Dorado Hills – Live on the Boulevard

El Dorado Hills Town Center, 4364 Town Center Blvd., El Dorado Hills

Playing every Thursday during the summer in Steven Young Ampitheater, Live on the Boulevard is just plain fun. With tribute bands like Skynnyn Lynnyrd (Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute), Life in the Fastlane (Eagles tribute band), Super Huey (Huey Lewis tribute band) and Forejour (Foreigner and Journey tributes), these events are very popular! Food is sold on site by Ruffhaus Hot Dog and Casa Ramos Mexican Restaurant, or you may bring a picnic.
